The change within yourself

at the end of your

This quote is great because its really self-explanatory but for most people, it’s definitely hard. Nobody else has the power to change themselves, not your friends, family, or time. Doing nothing about it won’t get you anywhere and well, time is money. The power of change is all within yourself and it’s really important everyone knows that because life truly is all about growth and learning. Life is a journey and if we want to reach our goals such as losing weight or starting a business, change must happen and it all starts with you.  Focus on yourself and not others, because in the end you have to change yourself. Self-accountability is key! Ask yourself, what changes do I need to make in my life currently in order to get where I want to be? Taking risks? What plans of action do I need to take to make my dreams happen?  The only person that knows that answer is you! So the one question I ask you today, is what are you doing today to start that journey to make that change(s) in life?

Follow your passion!

The most successful people today never set to make a ton of money as you might think.  More importantly, they’re passionate about what they do and they’re driven to succeed because they love what they do! Following their passions made them truly happy, and their many accomplishments should make people realize that we need to follow our passions because it’s one the main reason why they succeed no matter how many times they fall or get rejected.  We live only one life so we might as well find something we’re passionate about so life can be more fulfilling. Once you find out what your passion is and you keep on working at it, the money will come. Be inspired, take a risk, and live your life. Pursue your passions and accomplish things you never thought you could do!

Sing Leaders, Sing

Sing Leaders, Sing

We find leaders all around us
And follow those who stand up and sing
Who belt loudly the music from their soul
They look for no reassurance since in this moment the words need to be sung
It’s not voted on by a committee or agreed to be the right thing to do
For by the time the committee decides, and everyone aligns, the song is through
The time has come for fewer people in the chorus and more people singing for what needs to be done

7 Cardinal Rules in Life

well, words of balance, balance, creation, fitness, believe, health, motivate, motivation, inspire, inspiration, succeed, success

7 Cardinal Rules in Life

1. Make peace with your past so it wont screw up the present.

2. What others think of you is none of your business.

3. Time heals almost everything, give it time.

4. Don’t compare your life to others & don’t judge them. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

5. Stop thinking so much, it’s alright not to know the answers. They will come to you when you least expect it.

6. No one is in charge of your happiness, except you.

7. Smile. You don’t own all the problems in the world.

The 3 Sides of Success

well, words of balance, balance, creation, fitness, believe, health, motivate, motivation, inspire, inspiration, succeed, success

The 3 Sides of Success

1. Planning

Create the road map for where you are going, when you will get there, and how you will get there. Don’t know where to start? Read this

2. Starting

It is easy to get stuck in perpetual planning mode. Fear’s favorite vice is procrastination. Start by setting yourself a timer for 20 – 40 minutes. Tell yourself you are going to work without distraction (no phone, email, Facebook, food, or any other distraction). When the timer goes off get up and give yourself a quick break then set your time for another 40 minutes. Intense focus for short durations of time maximizes productivity.

3. Following Through

If you are not where you wish you were in life it’s probably not from a lack of opportunity, but rather a lack of follow through. Starting is easy. What makes you successful if follow through. And if you want to quit, re-read this blog, and you won’t.

If this post inspires you, inspire your friends and share it!

It’s Not What You Take Away but What You Add

well, words of balance, balance, creation, fitness, believe, health, motivate, motivation, inspire, inspiration, succeed, success

It’s not what you take away but what you add to life that matters

1. Add Appreciation

Add appreciation for what is beautiful in life. See symmetry in flowers. Hear the friendliness in a hello. Taste the nuance of a well prepared meal. Appreciate the beauty around you and  beauty will begin to find you.

2. Add Gratitude

Add gratitude for the life you have: the people who accept you for who you are, the car that got you to your job, the clothes you have to keep you warm. Add gratitude and happiness will begin to find you.

3. Add Friendliness

Add warm eye contact and a smile for random people you see. Add a kind favor for someone in need. Add a greeting when least expected. Add friendliness and friendly people will begin to find you.

Once you add enough positivity to your life there will be no more room for negativity and the beauty in life will become clear. It’s not what you take away but what you add to your life that is important.

5 Ways to Give More of Your Heart Today

1. Say less about yourself and notice more about others

2. Find the gleam in someones’ eye and hold it with a smile

3. Do something no one expects you to do and do it gladly

4. When someone challenges you, stop and seek to completely understand their point of view

5. Write an anonymous thank you and leave it for someone least expecting and most deserving

Follow Fear and Find Your Purpose In Life.

Follow Fear and Find Your Purpose In Life.

I subscribe to the brilliant blog posts of Mr. Seth Godin, instigator of doing work that matters in the world. His books focus on pushing you to do work and “ship” as he calls it. As an entrepreneur and visionary I often find myself faced with multiple projects with equal opportunity for growth. Doing multiple projects well is nearly, if not totally, impossible, so I decided to ask Mr. Godin what he does in this situation.

His answer?

“When in doubt, look for the fear.”

This reminds me of the wisdom from Marriane Williamson when she said, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most.”

Don’t minimize fear, embrace it, and welcome it as your north star for finding purpose in your life. The challenge is now clear: instead of running from fear, do you have the courage to embrace it?

Beauty Lies Within You

Beauty Lies Within You

“I want to search deep within me and appreciate my virtues.
If someone feeds them to me then it won’t be the same.
It will be someone else’s opinion of me and I already have plenty of people telling me good things about myself.
My insecurities don’t come from others not telling me positive things, they come from my own mind antagonizing myself.” – GPM

Love of self comes from within.
We are all fertile souls to allow beauty to grow when we look within.
