7 reasons why you need mental strength to be successful

Hi everyone, I can’t believe it’s almost the end of March with April almost ready to start! Today, I wanted to talk about the 7 reasons why you need mental strength to be successful. I know a lot of us have huge dreams and we are working on making them a reality on a daily basis. Having a strong mind is key to helping you get through adversity because going after your dreams is no walk in the park. Only certain people have the ability to try and get over their fear, so today I want to talk about why you need mental strength to achieve all the things you want in your life.

  1. Mental strength conquers self-doubt When you’re either trying to build a business from the bottom up or going for that next job promotion, there are going to be days when you have self-doubt and not feeling positive.  Having that belief in yourself and turning that negative feeling into something positive is okay. Things may not go your way every time, but you should not be afraid to lose.
  2. Mental strength keeps you motivated- It’s much easier to stick with your goals when you have the drive to do everything in your power to make it happen. There are some times when you don’t have that motivation, but you must dig deep into your mind in why you’re trying to accomplish XYX. Remember, your goals are for you and maybe some important people in your life at this time.  You shouldn’t lose track of why your goals are so important to you, so find that will power to keep the progress going.
  3. Mental strength helps you tune out the unhelpful advice-  There are always going to be people that criticize you all the time or don’t give you helpful advice, they’re the ones that you shouldn’t listen to. You should not be pleasing others or proving anyone wrong.  Being strong means staying true to your own values and stay focused on making the right decisions for yourself no matter what the advice you’re getting from others. Stay strong and don’t lose sight of what you’re trying to accomplish.
  4. Mental strength ensures you’ll learn from your mistakes- Having the strength to take responsibility for your actions is what having mental strength can do for you. It will also help you from your mistakes and not repeat them in the future. Learning from your mistakes are lessons you can take to make process in making your goals a reality.
  5. Mental strength provides courage to face your fears- You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Nothing great comes out from being in your comfort zone but mental strength will help you with that. When you always feel strong, you built that ability to face anything head on and always remind yourself that you are powerful and to have no fear!
  6. Mental strength assists you in bouncing back from failure- Failure can definitely causes some people to quit, but mentally strong people are able to jump back from failure every time. Failure is something temporary and you can learn from it. It’s experience that used the right way, it could really help you succeed. Remember, don’t be afraid to lose and that every failure is a future success!
  7. Mental strength helps you regulate your emotions- There are many highs and lows when trying to your goals a reality. It’s hard, but its all part of the journey. You must be able to control them so you can stay focused on your journey. Mental strength is key to controlling your emotions so they won’t cloud your thoughts and lead you in a direction that you don’t want.  The journey to achievement is a tough road and there are many obstacles you must face that may derail your path to success. Building mental strength will help you develop resilience to life’s inevitable obstacles so you can overcome setbacks with confidence.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and I truly believe that having a strong mind to overcome all these things that I listed are critical to succeeding in life. What do you all think? Have a great week everyone and thank you for reading!

How to Develop Persistence!

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone had an amazing 1st weekend of November, there’s only less than 2 months left in 2016, can you believe that?? I hope you’re all that much closer to reaching your goals and making your dreams a reality! Today, I wanted to talk about being persistent, which is a major key to crushing your life goals. By being persistent each day and making progress towards your plan is something that is lost, but its important that you realize this.  You also have also trust in the timing of your life as well because taking on a major goal takes an investment in committing to yourself and believing in yourself.  Let’s talk about how to develop persistence, which are:

  1. A definite purpose backed by burning desire for its fulfillment.
  2. A definite plan, expressed in continuous action.
  3. A mind closed tightly against negative and discouraging influences.
  4. A friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose.

What do you guys think about these 4 steps? I think they’re all important in their own ways. I hope this short post has you thinking about your own persistence and maybe you realize you need make some changes in order to make progress in making your goals a reality. This post was meant to give you guys some perspective but I really hope this post helps! The mission of this blog was to always inspire people to live a better life and we’re always so thankful to our loyal readers. I hope you all have a great week and keep on striving!

John Wooden’s 7 Point Creed

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend ! I just recently finish a course called Framework of Success, which features the lessons of the legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden, who influenced the people around him to live a more successful life. I definitely recommend everyone to take this free course and if you’re interested,  click here! This will be another short post but these 7 rules are what John Wooden’s dad gave to him when he was just a kid that graduated from elementary school and it’s something that impacted his life in a positive way, which lead to his success with UCLA basketball and his legendary lessons. His 7 point creed is what I want to share with you all, which are

1. Be true to yourself.
2. Make each day your masterpiece.
3. Help others.
4. Drink deeply from good books, including the Good Book.
5. Make friendship a fine art.
6. Build a shelter against a rainy day.
7. Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.

I think these are all simple things we can follow in our daily lives, I actually wrote it these rules on an index card the other day for me to take a look and remind myself. I hope you all took something from this post and I believe this will help your life to the fullest. John Wooden is legendary for a reason and his success principles are simple. We all have control of our lives to be the best version of ourselves and become satisfied with the effort we put forth to be successful.  It’s all within us to take action to live the life we were always meant to live.  I hope everyone has another great week! Strive on and take action!

Seven Steps To Manifesting Your Goals

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone had a good start their week! I saw this post about the 7 steps to manifesting what you desire in your life and I just had to share it with you all!

  1. Vision: Visualize what you want
  2. Desire: Be intensely excited about you’re visualizing
  3. Belief: Believe what you desire is possible to manifest
  4. Acceptance: Accept your beliefs and your ability to manifest it as being true
  5. Intend: Want and intend are different. You must have the intention to manifest your dreams.
  6. Action: Act and behave like your desire has already manifested
  7. Allowance: Detach from the outcome. You have to be intense in your desire without any expectation that it manifest.

I think all these 7 steps are critical in accomplishing any major goal you have in life. Everyone has the potential to do whatever their heart desires but few take the steps to actually try to accomplish. We may fall flat on the ground and fail numerous times before succeeding but it’s all part of the journey. I feel like fear of failure is a major reason why people don’t even try reaching a big goal such as starting a business or trying something new. We must follow our gut feeling and take that risk. I know everyone on this planet has a purpose in life and I think if people took these these 7 steps, it will play a major part in accomplishing everyone’s greatest goals in life.  I believe in each and everyone of you and I hope this post will help you take that next step in accomplishing your goals! Enjoy the rest  of your week!

Take action or stay the same…

"You are capable of remarkable things that you could never foretell and will never discover without taking consistent.".png

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone has a great weekend spent with family and friends, hopefully you guys are all recharged to take on the new week ahead of us! All of us have goals that we want to achieve, you want that promotion or raise at work, or you want to shed a few pounds to get ready for the summer, but one needs to have a plan to get there. A lot of us are lucky to have a great support group that surrounds us. Even with all that support, it’s really you that’s in the driver’s seat. It’s up to you to take action to make your ultimate dreams a reality!

Anything in this life is achievable, nothing is impossible. In order to achieve the big goals you have in your life, you need to step out of your comfort level. A cousin of mine, who happens to be the CEO of Live Fit Apparel, an active lifestyle apparel brand said “They say success changes you, but it takes change to be successful.” Life is all about taking chances and if you take consistent action, great things will happen to you. The key is to be consistent with whatever you do, and make progress. Remember that a habit can be changed in 21 days, you need to make changes to your daily routines, otherwise you’ll end being ordinary. We all have greatness within us, and we need to unlock it all. Why live an ordinary life instead of an extrordinary life? Don’t live a life with what if’s and regret, life’s too short for that. We all deserve a fulfilling life and I hope this post inspires you to get out there, take action, be consistent with it, and step outside your comfort zone!

Law of attraction

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope everyone had a productive weekend! I hope you’re all progressing towards all your goals and your aspirations in life. 🙂 This post should resonate with you all because I know you are a group people that want to improve their overall life and reach for the skies. When you want something so bad and you have a goal you want to reach, you need to have a strategy to get there. For example, a couple of years ago a good friend of mine just graduated from Cal State Long Beach and his dream job and goal was to work for NASA. Getting a job at NASA as a recent graduate is not an easy task but when I was talking to my friend about it, I looked into his eyes and I knew that it was a matter of time before he got the job there. Through networking opportunities, he got to meet the Chef Financial Officer of the organization  and built a relationship with him. Later on, a job opened up and he interviewed for the job and within a month, my friend achieved his dream goal of working at NASA.  I was so proud and inspired by his accomplishment. This quote was what he told me and it’s a saying that will stick in my head when going after my own goals in life.

I hope this post motivates you all as you’re taking the steps to accomplish everything you want in life. We live only once and we should make the best of it because who wants to live life with regrets?  Think of a goal you want to reach, whether it’s starting your own business, getting your dream job, or purchasing a home etc. You have to put yourself out there, put a strategy together, and I honestly believe that the universe will align with what you want as long as you put your best foot forward and work hard! Have a great week, everyone! Stay motivated!

Hey all,

I hope you’r having a great weekend so far, I just wanted to do a quick post about perspective. I saw this posted somewhere and I wanted to share it with you all! Here we go, I think you guys will like this post. 🙂 Here we go…

  1. If you woke up this morning, you still have a purpose to fulfill.
  2. Being grateful for everything throughout the day will allow you to see clearer.
  3. If it’s all in your head, then you might as well spend the time having good thoughts.
  4. It may take you a bit longer, but if you’re happy with the process and you love yourself, than your success is inevitable.
  5. You’re beautiful no matter what they say.
  6. Never compare your journey to others, everyone has their unique story, so just keep on writing yours…

Hope you all enjoyed this post and got a little perspective! 🙂 I personally think these thoughts in our are important as we all go through our daily lives and trying to accomplish the goals/dreams we set for ourselves! Keep on striving!

Nothing is impossible in this world…

Nothing is impossible. The word itself says 'Im possible'.png

Happy Sunday!

Are you feeling stuck with your career maybe or just life in general? Not taking risks or saying no to opportunities that scare you? You’re the only person that can change your life to live a happier life. Life is all about trail and errors, if you have a gut feeling, you should really try to follow it with any opportunity that might come your way!. As the Apple cofounder, visionary, and CEO Steve Job once said,  “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” Each person was put on this earth for a reason and that’s really the only way you can be happy with your life is if you can find your true purpose in life. It may take a long time, but it’s the journey we all go through.

I truly believe in the belief if you work really hard at something you really want, the universe will conspire with you to make it all happen. Nothing in life is handed to you, you have to work hard to get “lucky.” What are you doing today or tomorrow to make your dreams a reality? You must take the step to find what makes your soul happy. Finding your purpose is the first step and I can honestly say the most successful people are the ones that found their purpose in life.

Get out there and find your purpose in life!

3 Simple Points Why it is Important to Stand Out from the Crowd

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority it is time to pause and reflect

3 Simple Points Why it is Important to Stand Out from the Crowd

In any aspect of life, it is best to be as unlike other people as possible. This seems like a difficult concept to swallow because in our society we “admire” and “idolize” people as a way of flattery. There comes a time when you have to stop looking to celebrities and “role models” to shape yourself and you have to just start looking to yourself. Everyone is constantly looking for the new trend, the best diet, the “secret” to a happy life, etc. I believe the best way to do that for yourself is to look in the mirror: are you just like everybody else or are you striving to be different and make your own path?

Why its okay to be different from the majority:

Trying to be something you are not is exhausting.

To be honest, I am not quite sure how some people do it. Buying the “Kylie Jenner” lip kit or starting the “It Works!” diet plan… Sounds expensive! All of the time that you put into trying to be like someone else can be put into something better; creating a better version of YOU. Instead of getting the “It Works!” diet plan to fix what you don’t like about yourself, think about something you DO like about yourself and love on that! Praise yourself and fuel you soul with positivity.

There is no one else in the world like you.

Literally NO ONE. Your exact hair, personality, smile, ears, toes, voice, taste, opinion… Not one single person in the world has all that you have. When you really pause and reflect on who you are, it is pretty rad to think about just how unique you are. Take a look at yourself in the mirror right now. All of those features you have are unique to you: EMBRACE THEM!

It pays to be different.

Doing something out of the ordinary and not on the side of majority can have some really negative effects at first. If you decide you want to start a new budget so you can save money to pay off loans or buy a house, people will criticize you. “Why would they do that?” you say… Well because they wont understand why you “don’t go out as much anymore” or you “are not enjoying life”. I can promise you that whatever change you are making in your life to better yourself or to follow a different path than the norm is going to help you. In the end you will know that you did everything you did to make yourself the very best version of you.

While following along with the latest trends and happenings is the easier route to take; it wont be the best. If at this moment you feel like you are just “following” I need you to do something right now: Think about something about yourself that is unique. It can be anything; a physical feature, a belief, an idea, a talent, etc. and write down why that one thing helps you be you. Writing things down is the best way to make an impact. Write down how this one thing POSITIVELY effects your life & helps you be you.

Really though…. Everyone else is taken, just be you.

3 Reasons Why Self Esteem is Your Biggest Obstacle

3 Reasons Why Self Esteem is Your Biggest Obstacle

1. If you don’t believe in yourself, who else will?

Self esteem is one of those topics that isn’t talked about enough. Most individuals fail not because their idea didn’t work out, but simply because they didn’t believe they could carry out an action before they even starting it. Can you image how silly it sounds for someone to buy something from you when you don’t even believe in the product or yourself as a representative. Convince yourself before you convince others.

2.  Don’t beat yourself at your own game

This really ties in to our points above. The idea is to give yourself the opportunity to win. Discrediting your idea before it starts doesn’t even allow your boss or customer have the opportunity to shut it down. You have already lost before you have begun.  Dianne Sawyer once said, “Whatever you want in life, other people are going to want it too. Believe in yourself enough to accept the idea that you have an equal right to it.”

3. Fear is just a feeling

I’ll reference the quote in the previous point as the basis of my argument. Every single person in this country has an equal right to success in anything. There is always this pre-conceived notion that there are privileged individuals who have a better chance of success. I cannot say this is true or not, but what I can say is that the CEO of General Mills and the student at a local community college put their pants on the same way every day. I cannot stress the importance of not fearing your peers. You can & you will succeed as long as you believe it, have the will to work for it and never quit.
