Everything in Life is a Choice

Do I get up or hit snooze?
Snooze..do I get up or hit snooze again?
Do I shower? Shave? Brush my teeth? Wash my face?
Do I eat breakfast?
Do I play on my phone while I eat or do I read an inspiring blog post?
Do I put my dishes away now or later?
Do I save money and make lunch or eat out and spend?
Do I listen to the radio in the car or do I stream a Ted talk?
Do I walk into the office and greet everyone with a smile or do I walk to my desk?
Do I admire the attention to detail the cleaners paid to my office space over the weekend or do I take it for granted?
Do I plan out my day first or do I open my email?
Do I smile and say hi to my neighbor as they walk by?
Do I go into the meeting prepared for the tough questions or with just enough information to get by?
Do I give away recognition and acknowledgement or keep it for myself?
At the water cooler do I ask about the latest gossip or what people are passionate about in their life?
Do I take 15 minutes to center myself and realign my actions with my thoughts?
Do I go out to lunch with the team or sit alone at my desk?
Do I do things to make my job better, faster, more efficient or do I wait for permission to do things?
Do I care?
Do I leave on the dot or put in an extra 30 minutes to get the job done right?
Do I go out to happy hour or go to the gym?
Do I eat a quick meal or try out that recipe I just pinned?
Do I dive into a good book or flick on the T.V.?
Do I end my day or start my second shift working on my true passion?
Do I fall asleep on the couch or get an extra good night sleep?
Do I take 10 minutes to reflect on my day?
Do I take 5 minutes to think about how much I have to be grateful for in life?
Everything is a choice.

“…Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.” – Gandhi
