3 Best Procrastination Methods That Work

1. Sit Down

That couch looks so comfortable. So much more comfortable than the dining room table, bar top, or chair at Starbucks. It’s warm and cozy and calling your name. You can work there with your feet up and slouched against a pillow; the perfect spot to do your best work right? Wrong! While your lizard brain sees this as your perfect work spot, you know what will really happen on this couch…zzzzzzzzz.

2. Just One More

You are at the table, on the toilet, or at your desk playing Tiny Wings. Your little bird is just about to win the race when that little fuzz ball yellow bird comes out of nowhere and wins. Just one more race. This time you will win, and hey it’s only 30 seconds right? You said that 17 minutes ago.

3. I Have Time

There really isn’t that much to do. Besides, you have it all mapped out in your head. You are set for the presentation tomorrow,  the meeting with the client, or that mud-run you have always wanted to sign-up for. You can just sit here on the couch a little longer, play one more game, and think tomorrow, when it matters, if only you had a little more time to prepare.

Read this with a heavy dose of sarcasm and don’t be a loser, get your shit done now. Right now.
